For Etsy sellers

Personalized print-on-demand, built for Etsy

Mockspark is a design and fulfillment tool for Etsy sellers. Design a product, publish it to your Etsy shop, and Mockspark turns every paid order into a print-ready file for your print provider. Your buyers can personalize items before they order, and you produce exactly what they made.

Connect over OAuth

Sellers authorize Mockspark from Etsy's own consent screen. We never ask for a shop password and never scrape Etsy — every read and write goes through the official Etsy API.

Publish real listings

Products designed in Mockspark are published to the seller's shop as normal Etsy listings, with variants, prices, photos, shipping profile and production partner.

Fulfill and report back

Paid orders are rendered into print-ready files and sent to the seller's own Printful or Printify account. Once shipped, tracking is written back to the Etsy receipt.

How it works for sellers

Four steps, from a blank product to a shipped order. Everything between the order and the printer is automated; the seller stays in control of what actually gets produced.

01

Connect an Etsy shop

The seller authorizes Mockspark through Etsy's OAuth consent screen. One account can connect several shops.

02

Design and publish

The seller builds a product, places artwork on it, and publishes it. Mockspark creates the listing on Etsy with variants, photos, shipping profile and production partner.

Orders arrive on their own

Etsy does not push order notifications to apps, so Mockspark checks each connected shop for new paid orders every 15 minutes and renders the print-ready file.

04

Produce and ship

The seller sends the order to their own Printful or Printify account. When the provider ships, Mockspark marks the order shipped on Etsy and passes the tracking number back.

How buyers personalize an item

Etsy does not allow third-party apps to modify the storefront or add a designer to the listing page. The only field Etsy provides for buyer input is Personalization, and it accepts plain text. Mockspark works within that constraint.

The buyer browses, pays and checks out entirely on Etsy. Mockspark never takes payment, never contacts buyers, and never moves a transaction off Etsy — it only collects the design that the buyer wants printed.

Open the link in the listing

When personalization is enabled, the listing's Personalization field asks for a Customization ID and includes the address of the designer for that specific listing.

02

Design and submit

The buyer picks a variant, adds their text or image, and sees it on the product in real time. No account and no login. Submitting returns a 36-character Customization ID.

Paste the ID back and check out

The buyer pastes the ID into the Personalization field and adds to cart as normal. When the order reaches Mockspark, it finds the matching design and builds the print file from it.

What Mockspark reads from a connected shop

Every line below appears on Etsy's own permission screen, in Etsy's wording and in the order Etsy shows it, so the two can be read side by side. Mockspark requests nothing beyond these.

Etsy permissionWhat Mockspark does with it
Connect to your accountIdentifies which Etsy account approved the connection, so the shop can be linked to a Mockspark account.
See billing and shipping addressesPasses the buyer's name and delivery address to the seller's print provider so the parcel can be addressed. Nothing beyond what is needed to ship the order.
Read your user profileIdentifies the seller account that approved the connection. Mockspark does not request access to the buyer_email field, so buyer email addresses are never returned to us. We never email your buyers.
Delete listingsRemoves a draft listing that Mockspark itself created if publishing fails partway through. Listings the seller created are never deleted.
See all listings (including expired etc.)Checks whether a listing Mockspark published still exists before updating it.
Create/edit listingsPublishes the seller's products, and updates prices, photos and variants when they republish.
See private shop infoReads shipping profiles, return policies, production partners, processing times, currency and ship-from country, so the publish form can offer real choices instead of blank fields.
Update shopCreates one shipping profile, and only when the seller asks for it while publishing. Mockspark never edits shipping profiles the seller made.
See all checkout/payment dataBrings paid orders into Mockspark so they can be produced. Card and bank details are not part of what Etsy's API returns, so Mockspark never receives them.
Update receiptsMarks an order as shipped and sends the tracking number back to Etsy after the print provider ships it.

What Mockspark does not do

We do not scrape Etsy. Every read and write goes through the official Etsy API.

We do not read or reply to messages between sellers and buyers.

We do not modify listings that Mockspark did not create.

We do not change prices, policies or shop settings on our own initiative.

We do not issue refunds, cancel Etsy orders, or move money on any platform.

We do not take payments or facilitate transactions outside Etsy.

We do not receive card or bank details — Etsy's API does not expose them to apps.

Documentation

Every part of the Etsy integration is documented in full, including the permissions above and how buyer data is handled.
